Archiv The "Archive"
image database is specially tailored for Metric. When the archive is set
up, great importance was placed in making it simple to operate. Three
selection boxes in the main menu provide terms, which clearly describe the
image. Naturally these terms can initially also be freely chosen by the
administrator. Two additional free text boxes store additional
information, which can be used as search or sorting criteria. Information,
such as the date, user and consecutive number are automatically assigned.
This enables different archive files to be generated. The administrator
can have these files protected by a password. In principle the archive
stores images and measured values separately. However, the system not only
catalogs the tables of measured values and images but also the lenss used,
together with the related calibration and the measuring unit, if no
measurement has yet taken place in the image. This ensures that the image
can be edited later. If an image from the database is to be edited
again with Metric, the database compiles the measured value table and
image together and sends them to Metric. Here this can be subsequently
edited and then stored as a new image or used to replace the existing
file. |

appears. Here another click is required on the "Send" button, and the
image appears for further editing in the… |
|
...Metric window. Here old measurements can be changed or added.
The image is then subsequently inserted into the database again under a
new name or under the old name. |
